'CERTAINLY WOOD' KILN DRIED LOGS - OFFICIAL LOCAL DISTRIBUTORS
Kiln dried logs provide the ultimate clean burn with the maximum heat output. The product itself is unique in that it is packed in an attractive recyclable polythene bag providing the customer with a clean and convenient pack. After seasoning logs in the open air, fuel is transferred to wood fired kilns. The result is extremely dry wood fuel. Ideal for woodburning stoves.

Here we will calculate the power output required to heat your room. This figure is a guide, based on heating a modern insulated room to 21°C when the temperature outside is 0°C. We can offer further advice on the specific requirements of your home.
You can either type in the lengths of each wall of your room and the height of the room, or the volume of the room.
LOOKING TO USE A WOODBURNING STOVE IN SMOKE CONTROL AREAS / SMOKELESS ZONE?
Most of London and parts of Cambridge are within smoke control areas / smokeless zones. We have selected a large range of quality stoves which are approved for use in these areas and exempt from the local council restrictions. Visit the shop for advice or ring to discuss the range. The currect list of appliances approved by DEFRA for use in Smokeless Zones is contained within a large government document; The Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (England) Order 2009 The 2010 document is due out soon and contains a mass of exciting and newly Exempted appliances. Fingers crossed there should be a much better choice of clean city stoves in the coming weeks.

The temperature beneath a stove dictates the thickness of hearth required.
Stoves that have been tested and approved not to exceed 100° centigrade underneath can stand on a 12mm thick superimposed hearth. If your home does not currently have a constructional hearth, stoves meeting this approval can greatly expand your options when thinking about location and installation.
