Installation and supply

TRUSTED INSTALLER NETWORK
At Orion Heating we work closely with local independent HETAS registered installers who conduct surveys quickly following your visit to the shop.
HETAS accredited installers are able to carry out chimney work without the involvement and additional cost of Building Control. We recommend HETAS installers near to where you live who we know personally to do high quality and honestly priced work. Our customers are only ever quoted for the work required, there is no 'shop fee' added onto quotes.
By working in partnership with the installers, we aim to make your stove purchase as well as the installation a simple and enjoyable experience. The installers provide a survey and competitive quotation service, and in most cases collect and deliver each customers appliance. Customers arranging their own installation are welcome to collect their stoves and other materials directly from our showroom.
In addition we can put customers in contact with highly experienced cooker installers and pellet stove installers, able to couple up appliances with new or existing plumbing systems.
Carbon Monoxide detectors
Orion Heating support the FireAngel Solid Fuel Burning Safety campaign.
This campaign is intended to push the message out to the general public, raise awareness of carbon monoxide safety, and hopefully save lives.
Warm, safe and cosy. As with any fuel burning appliance, wood and multifuel stoves now require a CO monitor to be fitted as part of the installation.
See our Accessories page for more information on the FireAngel CO monitor
Minimalist installations
No fireplace, no constructional hearth. Novel in the UK, but typical of a continental installation. Make the stove a feature, incorporate it as if it were a piece of furniture. Stoves do not need to sit in a fireplace, you could consider a free standing installation.

A glass hearth can be used if a stove does not exceed 100°C underneath. We can advise on which stoves are suitable for this kind of installation. More information can be found on our 12mm hearth page

Photo:- an example installation - Large inglenooks in small rooms are common in this area. The obvious choice of stove is physically large to match in scale and proportion. However this installation demonstrates how a small stove can sit comfortably in a large inglenook, providing the ideal output for the room while leaving the 500 year old bricks and beams as the main focus.
