MORSØ AND THE 12mm SUPERIMPOSED HEARTH As usual, Morsø are leading the field in stove innovation. All of their models have been tested and approved to stand on a 12mm superimposed hearth (because the temperature underneath does not exceed 100°C). You do not need a constructional hearth to install a Morsø, greatly increasing  your options when choosing a location for the stove. Great for installing the stove in front of a small fireplace opening, typical of British homes. As fuel burns it requires oxygen, and this must be drawn from the room containing a stove. The amount of air required is sufficient that all stoves above 5KW must be given an air source in the room. Usually some form of vent to the outside.
All of the latest Morsø stoves have an optional Outside Air Kit. This enables the stove to take air via a sealed pipe through a hole in the wall. No air is taken from the room, so there is no need for air vents and as a result, no draughts.
