S.A.P RATING (STANDARD ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE) |

The Building Regulations document LIA requires secondary heating appliances to be specified as part of the S.A.P. calculation. The S.A.P assumes Electric secondary heating to be the norm, however 'Carbon Credits, which reduce the S.A.P. rating, are awarded for:- - Specifying/installing high efficiency, Carbon Neutral bio-mass ie wood/pellet, secondary heating appliances.
- Secondary heating appliances with smaller flue diameters, which significantly reduce the natural or 'Standing' ventilation of the building.
- The type of fuel used for secondary heating, the best being wood or wood based (ie non fossil).

CLIMATE CHANGE LEVY (TAX) EXEMPTION |
